Drawing from your memories!

Time to hit the streets of Blackwall Reach for the make:good team! This time we were accompanied by the talented Shana, a London-based Illustrator. She helped us understand more about people’s joyful memories of the area or just in general, what makes them connected to a specific area and what memories they hold dear.

It’s important to reconnect to buried memories and reflect on a time when we were really happy.

We spoke to Sabrina, she took a short while to think about it, and then she said: “Mmh, I think one of my best memories is when back home I used to play guitar and sing with my best friends.” Shana starts drawing as we tickle her memory, asking what sort of music they would play and during what time of the day they would rehearse. Whilst she talked us through her memory, Shana drew it as a visual scribe.

"I used to sing, he used to play..."

This is just one of the memories that people have been sharing with us. We were so intrigued to hear about everyone’s stories, below are a few pictures we took during the event!
