Saturday was the day! We had a lot of fun setting up a discovery trail for the residents to try our ideas in response to all your feedback on 'What brings you joy?'
Ok so it rained but a huge thank you to the people who braved the wet weather and came out to see what we were up to. We wanted to make people smile, spark joyful memories and get some ideas for a continuous joyful sculpture and people really delivered for us.
All of the ideas we collect and create are going to be for the Millennium Green so it was great to spend some time there and imagine something different.
The periscopes with some surprise views were a hit and the splash of colour they added definitely intrigued people.

Tasty treats were of course a hit and prompted lots more joyful conversations about cooking and sharing food.

Last summer you told us that sitting, playing and exploring brought you joy so we wanted your help to design a model of stopping point that could incorporate all of those things. We love the models people made and will be thinking about how we can make those real over the coming weeks and months.

If you haven’t the chance to pop over to the Millennium Green you can still visit some of the semi permanent installations and there is more to come over the next few weeks, find them and let us know what you think about in the comments below.

At the end of this project we want to install some permanent installations on Millennium Green so tell us what you think now and help shape our ideas.
Find out more and stay in touch here.
